An engineer reads the enquiry and replies to confirm it has landed, along with any immediate question that would otherwise delay us. If the work is outside what we do well, we say so at this point rather than booking a meeting to decline politely later.
Held by video at a time that suits your site or shift. We work through how the process runs today, which systems hold the data, and what would have to be true for a build to be worth funding. No slides, and no preparing documents beforehand.
You receive an indicative range rather than a single figure, a breakdown of the major work items, the assumptions the range depends on, and the risks we can already see. It is written so it can be circulated internally without you rewriting it.
Nothing about receiving a summary commits you to proceed, and nothing obliges us to accept the work. Where we are not the right practice we will say so and, where we can, suggest what to look for in whoever is.
Most of our work sits within the Perth metropolitan area, where we attend site for discovery workshops, user testing and cutover. Regional Western Australia is routine — the Pilbara, the Goldfields, the South West and the Wheatbelt are all within reach for scheduled visits, with travel agreed and costed first.
Interstate clients are delivered remotely, which is not a lesser arrangement but does change the shape of the engagement. Remote workshops run in 90-minute blocks with a shared screen, an agenda sent beforehand, and written decisions circulated the same day, because an unresolved question costs a full day when nobody is in the same room. Where a project genuinely needs people together — discovery for a complex operation, or a go-live cutover — we plan those visits explicitly rather than hoping video will cover it.
The Belmont office at 1a/25 Belgravia Street is roughly ten minutes from the Perth CBD and about the same from the airport, which suits clients flying in for a day of workshops. Meetings there are by appointment, so that the room and the right people are available when you arrive.
